How it works
- On a product, give “Units in stock” a count and the shop takes sold units off and stops at zero; leave it empty (“Count: off”) to not count. Stock status can also be In stock, Out of stock or On backorder.
- Products has an “Out of stock” tab.
- A sold-out product shows a “Notify me” form. When it's back, the shopper gets one email — through the “Wishlisted product back in stock” automation, or a plain email if that's off. On a shop that takes accounts, a new address also gets an account without a password.
- “Alert when stock runs low” notifies the team when a product or size is down to 2 or fewer.
- How sold-out products are listed (hide them, or list them last) and the “Only n left” threshold are in Shop settings.
