What does the website checker look at?
Your home page as search engines receive it: HTTPS, indexing directives, title and description, headings, canonical URL, mobile setup, sitemap, image alt text and readable text; structured data, AI crawler access in robots.txt and llms.txt; and whether visitors can call or send an enquiry.
Is the score a Google ranking?
No. It's a checklist of things you control that help search engines and AI assistants understand your site. Rankings depend on much more, including your competition and who links to you.
Why does it check AI crawlers?
Many sites block AI crawlers in robots.txt without knowing it. That may be what you want; if you'd like to be found through ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Gemini, their search agents need to be able to read your pages.
Do you store my results?
No. The page is fetched, graded and shown to you. We log only the domain and score to keep the tool running.
