How it works
- The shop lives on your website, so it needs a website first; without one, Shop only offers “Go to Website”.
- Open Shop and press “Turn the shop on”. It adds a Shop page to your site's menu and the cart, checkout, account and wishlist pages behind it. Then add products, or import them.
- Where it sits in the menu: a business that isn't an online store finds “Online shop” under Website until the shop is open, then a “Shop” area with Overview, Orders, Sales attribution, Products, Categories & brands, Shop customers, Reviews, Discount codes and Shop settings.
- An online store (the ecommerce kind of business) gets Orders, Products and Customers at the top of the menu instead, and its Dashboard is the shop's home.
- With several websites, the shop pages have a switcher to pick which site's shop you're looking at.
- The shop takes cash on delivery, bank transfer or payment in the shop — there are no card payments.
